It's Thursday. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. And the cliches are flying. I've eaten half of the kamquats from my little tree. Many people do not know what to do with kamquats, other than pick them (my daughter's favorite thing to do, as she can actually reach them!). Actually, kamquats are eaten whole -- rind and all. You have to spit out the pits, but other than that slight inconvenience, they are quite tasty. Though if I eat more than a handful my lips start to burn a bit from the acid.
Nothing like a little acid in the morning! I hope you all have a wonderful day and find something glorious to do on this bright, shiny morn. I'm going to write -- or attempt to write -- a young adult novel for an hour or so, whilst I drink tea with honey.
Then I'm going to take a walk around the 'hood and check up on y'all. I guess I should have been born in the south. At least there I could wear my pearls with the other gals.
